About this site
Kuda Kandu is a channel site in the Ari Atoll of the Maldives, near the island of Vihamaafaru. Sites labelled kandu in the Maldives refer to channels cutting through the atoll rim between the inner lagoon and the open ocean, and these are typically dived as drifts timed to the tidal current moving through the gap. Divers here have also reported blacklip butterflyfish, blue-headed wrasse, and powder blue tang along the reef.
