Kulkwitzsee is a former lignite mining pit near Leipzig, on the border between Saxony and the small town of Kulkwitz, that was flooded and has since become a popular freshwater diving lake for the region. Delfin refers to one of the dive sites or platforms operated on this lake by local dive clubs, and it is rated a beginner site. The lake sits just west of Leipzig and draws inland divers from across Saxony given the scarcity of clear standing water in the area.
