About this site
Kurolhi Thila is a thila, a coral pinnacle rising from the atoll floor in Haa Alif Atoll, in the far north of the Maldives. This atoll sees far fewer liveaboards and dive operations than the central atolls near Male, given the long sail required to reach it. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres, and currents here can turn volatile, so conditions are worth checking before descending. Divers have reported barracuda, batfish, fusiliers, grouper, manta rays, octopus, and even whales passing through.
