L'Herbe sits on the Arcachon Bay coast of southwestern France, near the Bassin d'Arcachon on the Atlantic side of the Gironde department. The site is very shallow, with a maximum depth of around 0.9 metres, making it a beginner level dive suited to those just starting out in the water.
