About this site
La Chimenea sits off the Balearic Islands coast, near the island of Menorca in Spain's western Mediterranean. The name refers to a chimney-like rock formation, a feature that gives the cave dive its shape as it drops through a vertical shaft. It reaches a maximum depth of around 35 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported barracuda, octopus, and wrasse around the site.
