La Perouse Pinnacle lies off La Perouse Bay on the southern coast of Maui, at the edge of the last lava flow from Haleakala, near Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve. The bay sits at the southwestern tip of the island, exposed to open ocean swell and offshore conditions rather than a sheltered cove.
