Lago Calima is a reservoir in the department of Valle del Cauca in western Colombia, formed by a dam on the Calima River in the Andean foothills east of Buenaventura. The lake is better known among visitors for windsurfing and kitesurfing, given the steady afternoon winds that funnel through the surrounding valley, but it also draws divers to a submerged town flooded when the dam was built. Diving here reaches a maximum depth of around 35 metres and is rated advanced.
