About this site
Lake Murray is a lake dive near Ardmore, about 90 minutes south of Oklahoma City, and long a favourite of Oklahoma divers.
Visibility can be quite good, 10 feet (3 metres) or more, on an off day or before many divers arrive. Summer surface temperatures are well into the 80s Fahrenheit (high 20s Celsius).
Marietta Landing is the main entry and is usually the most crowded and first to silt up. The site known as Captain America, four driveways in a row just west of the metal tower, is usually better, though it means a goat-trail walk up and down the hill. Air fills are no longer available at the lake, so bring plenty of air and nitrox.
