About this site
Las Amatistas in Cabo De Gata offers vibrant volcanic rock formations and clear Mediterranean waters. The site features dramatic drop-offs, swim-throughs, and caves teeming with marine life. Expect encounters with moray eels, octopus, and colorful nudibranchs. Gentle currents make it ideal for divers of all levels. The shallow areas host seagrass beds with seahorses, while deeper sections reveal schools of barracuda. Visibility often exceeds 20 meters, with water temperatures ranging from 16°C in winter to 24°C in summer. The unique geology creates photogenic backdrops for underwater photography.
