About this site
Las Cadenas lies in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Matanzas, Cuba, within the waters of the Los Canarreos archipelago that stretches along the southern coast of the island. The coordinates place it near the Isla de la Juventud region, an area of coral shelves and small cays typical of this part of the Cuban shelf. It is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres, making it a shallow site overall. Divers here have reported angelfish and parrotfish among the reef life.
