About this site
Las Cañas lies along the coast of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, part of the volcanic archipelago off northwest Africa governed by Spain. The site takes its name from a stretch of shoreline shaped by the island's characteristic dark volcanic rock, typical of dive spots reached from the coastal towns along Lanzarote's coastline. It is a cave site with a maximum depth of around 15 metres, rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported barracuda and grouper around the site.
