Le Mur De Corail

Le Mur de Corail lies along the outer reef edge off Moorea in the Society Islands of French Polynesia, a volcanic island encircled by a barrier reef and lagoon just northwest of Tahiti. Sites along this reef are typically reached by boat through the passes that cut across the barrier surrounding the island. As its name suggests, the site follows a coral wall, with a maximum depth of around 21 metres and a difficulty rated intermediate. Divers have also reported surge here, so conditions along the wall can vary from one dive to the next. Lemonpeel angelfish and orangestripe triggerfish have been spotted along the coral face, and divers have occasionally reported spinner dolphins passing along the wall as well.
