About this site
Le Sec Du Gendarme sits off the Hyeres coast in the Var department, part of the Iles d'Or area of the French Riviera in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. This stretch of Mediterranean coastline is popular with dive operators working out of Hyeres and the nearby Giens peninsula. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres, and divers have reported grouper and pea urchins around the rocky ground here.
