About this site
Portofino's Lighthouse dive site sits near the tip of the Portofino promontory, at the point marked by the Faro di Portofino, on the eastern edge of the Portofino Marine Protected Area in Liguria. The coastline here is steep and rocky, dropping into the Ligurian Sea along the Golfo del Tigullio side of the peninsula. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 75 metres and is rated technical, with decompression stops, deep depth, and strong currents all factoring into that grading. Divers have reported grouper and octopus along the reef structure.
