About this site
Lighthouse Ledge lies off the southeast Florida coast near Boca Raton, where the offshore waters run over natural limestone ledges paralleling the shoreline. These nearshore reef ledges are typical of Palm Beach County dive sites, reached by short boat runs from local marinas. The site sits over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of about 16.8 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, lobster, octopus, sea turtles, and wrasse along the ledge.
