Lion's Den lies along the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, on the leeward side of the island where the volcanic shoreline drops into the Pacific. This stretch of coastline is characterized by lava rock formations, ledges, and swim-throughs typical of the region's marine terrain, and is generally accessed by boat from harbors along the Kona coast.
