Lopper Acheregg lies in the canton of Nidwalden in central Switzerland, near the Lopper cliffs along the shore of Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstattersee), close to where the lake narrows between Alpnachersee and the main basin near Hergiswil. The site sits along a steep rocky shoreline typical of this part of the lake, where the mountainside drops directly into the water.
