About this site
Lover's Cove sits near Avalon on the eastern side of Santa Catalina Island, off the coast of Southern California. It is a sheltered, easy-access cove close to the main harbor area, popular with boats and snorkelers visiting Avalon. The dive here is rated beginner, with a rocky bottom and a maximum depth of around 12 metres. It's a protected no-take marine area covering lobster and other species, and divers have reported lobster and moray eel among the rocks.
