Lumilihe Passage West sits within Western Province in the Solomon Islands, an area made up of scattered reefs, islands, and channels in the western part of the archipelago. Passages like this typically cut between reef systems in the region, linking lagoon waters to open sea. Divers here have reported blue linckia sea stars, boring giant clams, small giant clams, Indo-Pacific rock-boring urchins, lined bristletooth tangs, vagabond butterflyfish, and long-spined crown-of-thorns starfish along the reef.
