Madivaru Beyru lies off Madivaru in Lhaviyani Atoll, in the northern Maldives, where the atoll's outer reef edge drops toward the open channel waters. Sites labeled beyru sit on the outer reef rim rather than inside the lagoon, typically reached by dhoni from nearby resorts and islands in the atoll. Divers here have reported bluefin trevally, checkerboard wrasse, dot-and-dash goatfish, humpback snapper, Indian damsel, Oriental sweetlips, redlip parrotfish, rockmover wrasse, striped surgeonfish, and even spinner dolphins passing along the reef edge.
