Maeada Cape sits on the northwestern coast of Okinawa Island at Cape Maeda, near the village of Onna, and is home to the dive and snorkel site known as the Blue Cave. It is rated a beginner dive, making it accessible to those with little experience. The site draws its name from the way light enters the cave mouth and scatters through the water, giving the interior its characteristic blue glow. It is one of the most visited dive points on Okinawa's main island due to its easy shore access from the cape.
