About this site
Mangrove Bay lies along the Red Sea coast in Qesm Al Qoseir, part of Egypt's Red Sea Governorate south of Marsa Alam. The area takes its name from the mangrove stands that line parts of this shoreline, a feature relatively uncommon along the otherwise arid Egyptian Red Sea coast. The dive site has a sand bottom and reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres, though it is rated as a beginner site overall. Divers have also reported anthias, butterflyfish, and sea turtles here.
