Marangis Reef sits off Gaya Island, part of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park near Kota Kinabalu on the northwest coast of Sabah, Borneo. The park's reefs are typically reached by short boat rides from Kota Kinabalu's jetties out to the islands scattered across the bay. Divers here have reported leaf scorpionfish, manta rays, mantis shrimp, and octopus among the reef's residents.
