Marsa Shagra sits on Egypt's Red Sea coast near Marsa Alam, a house reef site with a wall that can be reached directly from shore. It has a maximum depth of around 17 metres over a reef bottom and is considered a beginner-friendly dive. Divers here have also reported dolphins, octopus, stingrays, and even whale sharks passing through, sightings worth watching for but not something to expect on every dive.
