About this site
Maya Bay sits on Ko Phi Phi Leh in the Phi Phi Islands group, off Phangnga province on Thailand's Andaman coast. Diving here reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres over a reef bottom, and it is rated a beginner site with generally light current, though some divers have noted stronger currents at times. Manta rays are a regular sighting here, and divers have also reported barracuda, batfish, eagle rays, frogfish, fusiliers, leopard sharks, parrotfish, and snapper around the reef within the limestone-walled bay that the island is known for.
