About this site
Mayne Rock lies off the coast of Sabah, on the Malaysian side of Borneo, in waters known more broadly for their reef systems along the South China Sea coastline. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres. Divers here have reported frogfish, ghost pipefish, scorpionfish, and nudibranchs tucked among the reef, along with fusiliers, snapper, and mackerel moving over it, and leopard or zebra sharks have also been spotted on occasion.
