About this site

Medan is a wall dive off the coast of Bali, in Indonesian waters, reaching a maximum depth of around 20 metres and rated an intermediate dive. Current runs moderate here and visibility is generally good, with the wall itself forming the main structure of the site. Barracuda, frogfish, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and parrotfish are regularly encountered along the drop-off. Divers have also reported eagle rays, sea turtles, Napoleon wrasse, reef sharks, seahorses, mantis shrimp, and various other reef fish such as fusiliers, trevally, and tuna, along with occasional sightings of mola mola, nurse sharks, and stingrays.
