Media Luna is a spring-fed lagoon near the town of Rioverde in the state of San Luis Potosí, in central Mexico. It is a freshwater site rather than coastal, formed by underwater springs that feed into the lagoon, and is a popular spot for cave and open-water diving among Mexican inland sites. The open lagoon reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is rated as a beginner dive, making it accessible for those wanting to experience the spring-fed water without heading into the cave passages that also draw divers to the area.
