About this site

Meno Corner is a patch reef in the Gili Islands, Indonesia, 5 to 30 m deep and a 10-minute boat ride away. A gently sloping valley has small coral bommies at the edges, surrounded by white sand. It is one of the less explored sites in the Gilis, so unusual animals can turn up.

Green and hawksbill turtles frequent the site and rest on the sloping bottom, and in the shallow coral fields you can watch green turtles grazing on sponges. Eagle rays sail by, and out in the blue large Spanish mackerel, spotted eagle rays and dogtooth tuna sometimes cruise past. Stonefish, scorpionfish and lionfish are spotted in the reef for macro.

Conditions are nearly always calm, even when it is rough elsewhere, which makes it suitable for try dives and Open Water courses. Deep Meno Corner offers a slope dropping deep, dotted with bommies, for more advanced divers.
