About this site
This site lies off Crete, in Greek waters, and takes its name from the wreck of a Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter aircraft resting there. It sits at a maximum depth of around 23 metres and is considered an intermediate dive over a wreck bottom. The site sits in an unprotected location and divers have described conditions there as challenging, so timing and sea state matter more than usual. Grouper have also been spotted around the wreck.
