About this site
Mid Reef is one of the dive sites along the wall off Sipadan Island, off the east coast of Sabah on Borneo. Sipadan sits in the Celebes Sea and rises from a deep seafloor, with its fringing reefs dropping off sharply into open water just offshore. Mid Reef itself is rated a beginner dive with a maximum depth of around 20 metres, making it one of the more approachable sites in the Sipadan area compared to the sheer walls found elsewhere around the island.
