Miyaruga Thila lies in Ari Atoll in the Maldives, near Kudafolhudhoo, one of the many coral thila formations rising from the atoll's inner lagoon. These pinnacle reefs are typically reached by dhoni from nearby resorts and dive centers in the atoll. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres, and divers have reported angelfish, barracuda, batfish, frogfish, fusiliers, lionfish, parrotfish, snapper, stonefish, and triggerfish around the reef structure.
