About this site
Montego Bay Marine Park lies along the coast of northern Jamaica, protecting a stretch of nearshore reef, wall, and seagrass habitat around the resort city of Montego Bay. It was established in the early 1990s as one of Jamaica's first marine protected areas, covering waters used by local dive operators for shore and boat diving. Diving within the park includes a wall that drops to a maximum depth of around 30.5 metres, with the wall itself forming the main bottom structure at the site.
