About this site
Mosquito Pier offers an exciting shore dive with easy access and shallow depths, perfect for all skill levels. The site features a thriving artificial reef created by the old pier pilings, covered in colorful sponges and corals. Expect frequent encounters with schools of tarpon, barracuda, and occasional turtles. The sandy bottom slopes gently, allowing for relaxed exploration. Visibility is typically good, with calm conditions ideal for photography. Night dives here are exceptional, with abundant marine life activity. The site's structure provides shelter for lobsters and octopuses. Water temperatures stay warm year-round, making it a comfortable dive.
