About this site
Smitswinkel Bay sits within False Bay on South Africa's Cape Peninsula, south of Simon's Town, and is known as a cluster of deliberately scuttled wrecks forming an artificial reef site for divers based out of the Cape Town area. The MV Rockeater is one of the vessels resting in this bay, lying on a wreck bottom to a maximum depth of around 33 metres. It is rated an advanced dive, in keeping with the depth and the exposed conditions typical of this stretch of False Bay.
