About this site

Mwanyaza is a beginner reef dive off Diani in Kenya, with a maximum depth of 20 metres. Currents are light and the site can be dived year-round.

Hard corals, including staghorn and brain coral, share the reef with soft coral. Fusiliers, snapper, parrotfish, angelfish and butterflyfish are common, and turtle sightings here are a matter of when, not if. Closer inspection turns up nudibranchs, mantis shrimp and scorpionfish, and frogfish and ghost pipefish have also been spotted on the site.
