About this site
The Rock Islands lie in Palau's southern lagoon, a cluster of forested limestone islands between Koror and Peleliu, with Ngeruktabel among the larger islands in that group. The Nagisan Maru rests nearby in these waters, a wreck reaching a maximum depth of around 33 metres and rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported mines, shell casings, and unexploded ordnance in and around the hull, and penetrating the wreck's interior has been noted as calling for technical training. As with much of the wreck diving around Koror, it is reached by boat from the town out into the Rock Islands lagoon.
