Newman's Wall

Newman's Wall sits off Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras, an area known for its steep drop-offs along the barrier reef that lines the island's coast. The site is reached by boat from the surrounding dive operations on Roatan's north or south shore, and the bottom here is a wall dropping along the reef edge. Divers have reported wave action as a hazard at times, so conditions near the surface can be a factor even though the dive itself isn't deep. Along the wall, divers have spotted Atlantic blue tang, Atlantic sergeant majors, Caribbean spiny lobster, four-eyed butterflyfish, indigo hamlets, purple sea fans, stoplight parrotfish, and yellowline arrow crabs.
