Ngaraard Channel lies off the Ngaraard state coastline on the eastern side of Palau's main island chain, where the barrier reef is cut by a channel connecting the lagoon to open water. Channels like this one along Palau's reef system are shaped by tidal exchange between the Philippine Sea and the inner lagoon. Ngaraard state itself sits on Babeldaob, Palau's largest island, north of Koror.
