Nursing Station lies off St. Eustatius, a small island in the Lesser Antilles within the Dutch Caribbean, reached by a short boat trip from the island's coast. The site sits over a reef and reaches a maximum depth of around 19 metres, rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported a mix of coral species here, including boulder star, greater star, lettuce, massive starlet, mountainous star, mustard hill, and symmetrical brain coral, forming the reef structure that the site is built around. Fish life reported includes Atlantic blue tang, Brazilian ocean surgeonfish, and redband parrotfish, along with nudibranchs and nurse sharks around the reef.
