Ohinau Island lies off the Coromandel Peninsula in the Waikato region of New Zealand's North Island, in the waters near Whangamata. It sits within a cluster of small offshore islands popular with boat divers working out of Coromandel harbours. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive.
