About this site
Ojamo Mine is a flooded former iron ore mine in Lohja, in southern Finland, not far from the Gulf of Finland coast. Disused workings here have filled with water over time, leaving submerged shafts and tunnels that draw divers interested in mine diving. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 100 metres, making it one of the deeper flooded mine sites in the region. It sits inland within the Lohja area, part of a district with a long history tied to mining activity.
