Orleans

Orleans is a reef site off the New Jersey coast, in the waters of the New York Bight where boat charters running out of northern New Jersey and Long Island ports commonly work this stretch of ocean. It's a shallow site, reaching only around 6.1 metres, rated as a beginner dive. At very low tide the reef can come out of the water and the surrounding water runs shallow, so timing the tide matters here. Divers have also reported barracuda, eagle rays, and parrotfish on the reef, an unusual mix for these waters.
