Palai

Palai Island sits in the Adang-Rawi Archipelago off Satun province in southern Thailand, part of the group of islands near Ko Lipe close to the Thai-Malaysian maritime border in the Andaman Sea. The archipelago falls within Tarutao National Marine Park, and dive sites around these islands are typically reached by boat from Ko Lipe. The reef here tops out around 24 metres and is rated a beginner dive over a reef bottom. Divers have reported clownfish, damselfish, grouper, nudibranchs, parrotfish, scorpionfish, triggerfish, and wrasse, along with occasional sightings of blue ringed octopus, so care around the reef itself is worth taking even on an easy dive.
