About this site
Upbound with the schooner-barge Matanzas in tow, she started leaking in a gale. She was run ashore to avoid sinking, but was pounded to pieces by the storm waves. Her engine was salvaged and re-used in a new Davidson steamer in 1907. Lies in about 3 m; sank 1906.
