About this site
Passe De Maire lies just off Marseille in the Mediterranean waters near the Riou archipelago, in the Bouches-du-Rhone coastline of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. The site takes its name from a passage near the Tiboulen de Maire islet, one of the small rocky outcrops south of the city that mark the edge of the Calanques coastline. Boats out of Marseille's harbors commonly use this stretch of coast as a base for exploring the surrounding islands.
