About this site
Patch Reefs sits in the Florida Keys, near Islamorada, in the shallow waters of the reef tract off the Atlantic side of the island chain. As the name suggests, this type of site is made up of isolated coral formations separated by sand channels rather than one continuous reef line. The maximum depth here is around 9 metres, and it is rated a beginner dive, making it well suited to divers and snorkelers spending extended time exploring the individual patches.
