Peleliu Corner

Peleliu Corner sits at the southern tip of Peleliu Island in Palau, where the reef wall meets a point exposed to open ocean currents from the Philippine Sea. Verified data lists a maximum depth of 23 metres and rates the site as a beginner dive, a gentler read than the corner's reputation for converging currents might suggest. Divers have reported barracuda, bumphead parrotfish, Napoleon wrasse, reef sharks, sea turtles, and tuna moving through the area, and WWII relics have also been noted here, a reminder of the island's role in the Pacific campaign. Dive operators usually reach the site by boat from Koror, as part of trips covering the southern Rock Islands and Peleliu.
