About this site
Cayo Largo sits off the southern coast of Cuba within the Isla de la Juventud archipelago, an island group known for its cays and surrounding coral shelves. Pelicano lies among the dive sites reached by boat from the resorts on Cayo Largo, and it drops to a maximum depth of around 61 metres, making it a technical dive rather than a shallow reef outing. Divers here have reported octopus, pufferfish, snapper, and stonefish along the site.
