Penyes Rotges lies along the rocky coastline of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands, in the western Mediterranean off the coast of Spain. The name refers to the reddish rock formations typical of this stretch of shoreline, generally reached by short boat trips from nearby coastal towns. Divers here have reported East Atlantic peacock wrasse, Mediterranean cardinalfish, Mediterranean moray, rainbow wrasse, ornate wrasse, painted comber, and red scorpionfish among the rocky terrain.
